David E Patton: I spent most of my early career as a graphic artist and photographer. I was a compositor and creative services expert at Modesto City Schools at the FIRST Staff Development Center, and later the resident graphic artist at Modesto Junior College. Vivian Patton and I had a successful commercial art business for ten years in the 80’s. We specialized in corporate identity, restaurant interiors, glass carving, and illustration. After that, I went into the graphic arts workforce, while dabbling in art and photography in my spare time. It has been through retirement that I have been able to turn the majority of my attention to the creative process, purely for the sake of having an idea and coaxing that idea into reality. I currently enjoy painting, graphic art, stained-glass art, photography, and woodworking.
